Cheese
by Karla ° Tuesday, February 6, 2007
When the bleary haze in front of my eyes finally cleared and I was able to actually focus on the words written in my last post, I promptly served myself a platter of cheese cubes to go with my whine fest.

Now that I have gotten the whole lack of sleep thing and how trying it is - blah blah blah - off my chest, this blog can now return to its regularly scheduled programming, except this time with a template update because what better way is there to spend your time at 2:45am while your baby insists cooing at the shadows on the wall than playing with a blog template?

Plenty, I’m sure, like sleeping, or at least closing my eyes and pretending to sleep, but there are pictures to be shared of my precious little munchkin magoo.

Glad you decided to post instead of sleep. Who needs it anyway - it is so overrated. ha ha. The important thing is getting us pictures of little Nate!!!

Karla:
I am a long time lurker and have been praying for you and baby Nate since the beginning of your pregnancy. He is gorgeous!! Congrats!!

I too lost my baby girl at full term. Samantha was born 7#8oz and was stillborn with a placental abruption. In April of 2005. Miscarried in September and now we are pregnant!! We are terrified, hopeful and excited all at once. Thanks for continuing your blog after losing Ava, it has helped me enormously. Just wanted to share.

Get some sleep!!

The Lack of Sleep will do that to you. Don't feel like you are whining. It all helps to let it out.
Love all the pictures. I can't get over how Marks mom looks just like him and same with your mom and you. You can sure tell who's mom is who's without you even telling us.

What's with the picture with two babies. Did you take an extra one home from the hospital as a spare..

You weren't whiny - you were delirious; there is a reason they use sleep deprivation as a form of torture - right?!

I used cabbage leaves to lessen my supply a bit, and while it worked, my husband and kids avoided me as not to be evaporated by the smell coming from my bra. Blech. Maybe you could hand express some of the watery stuff off before he latches on?

Anyway - I hope you get some much needed rest, and that Samson will share the bed when you're able to crawl into it again.

Listen, if anyone is entitled to whining, it is the mother of a newborn! Take the license to whine while you can get it! :)

Know what, since TJ was born, the most common arguments, and the worst ones, have been over who gets more sleep! Julia had the misfortune of sitting through one this afternoon, much to her dismay...

I'm pretty sure that either the kids will grow up and start sleeping normally, thus letting us sleep as well, and everything will be fine...or we will get a nasty divorce over our sleep disagreements!

Karla, you have an official license to whine, at the very least till your little munchkin sleeps through the night! Although, if it's really good cheese, snack away, calcium is good for your milk ;)

Thanks for posting the adorable pictures!

Funny I never saw it as whining..just seems like reality. I have several friends with newborns currently and they are singing the same tune.Don't be hard on yourself. By the way, liking the new template.
Karla, when you get a breather could you take a moment to answer a question I posed about trying to conceive again.Titled: I'm with stupid. I would love to hear your feedback....and anyone elses.Thanks.

good cheese is on par with good ice cream with making you feel better!
besides gotta get the calcium in!

Whine away! It's certainly allowed from a mother with a newborn! And get some sleep girl - don't worry about your blog for criminy sakes. I love hearing all about you and your adventures with lovely Nate.
