As Nate discovers the joy of solid foods, I am also discovering just how intimate my love affair with laundry is about to become.

I remember those days...I also remember bibs being food repellent, meaning the food goes anywhere but the dang bib! I bet Nate is just going to loooooove eating solid foods. I can't wait to see pictures of your walls and child covered in sweet potatoes and pees.

You might invest in a couple of the Kushies brand bibs-with-arms. They cover most of a baby.

Starting solids is lots of fun. You will be amazed by how quickly Nate will catch on. Porgie begs for your food. She wants to try everything.

I use a plastic bib, that I handwash in the sink after every meal. I place it in the dish strainer, and it is dry by the next feeding time.

We have just started Cole on solids too. He was a bit unsure of it to begin with but once I let him play with the spoon for a bit he really got it. Now he opens his mouth up real wide and has a big smile on his face! I didn't realise how much banana stains! Isn't the Bumbo great to feed them in too.

If Nate is like either of my boys, yer gonna be doing a whole lotta laundry! Logan's fave thing to do while eating right now is to smear his food across his face with his sleeve....with. every. spoonful.

It drives me nuts....but one day he will eat like a civilized young man...I just know it....I hope!

You may want to take out shares in Spray 'n Wash. You're gonna need lots of it!

Oh, he looks like such a happy guy! The kicked-up feet while he's eating is priceless. Love it.

You may want to invest in a few plastic bibs and my favourite thing of all time - Baby Oxi Clean! That stuff is AMAZING - it gets out every stain you can imagine!

Have fun with the solids - the fun is just beginning :)

Well, at least you are doing it outside, so you can hose him off! ;)

Questions coming soon, my dear, I promise.

Hey, Anna, my baby's name is Cole, too!

I don't even want to think about laundry! Since I had Cole, I have not one time been on top of it!

Believe you me, I have never done so much laundry in my life now that I have Max. I buy laundry detergent as often as I buy milk and bread now. I never had this issue with my daughter. What's with little boys being magnets to all that's dirty? (uh.. that probably shouldn't be retorical.. ):p
