On Matters of Health
by Karla ° Wednesday, August 15, 2007
Hi!

Meet my new ottoman/coffee table/excuse for new furniture which was sold to Mark under the premise that our old glass furniture and it’s deadly razor-sharp edges was a hazard to the health of Nate’s head.

I may have intentionally left out the part that constantly cleaning fingerprints was a hazard to my healthy ability to be lazy.

Also meet Nate’s parrot because you cannot take a picture in my tiny living room without bumping into a big giant dog or entangling yourself in a chaos of baby toys that have sprouted up like mushrooms and taken over almost every last square inch of floor space.

YOU are BRILLIANT!
Glass tables are dangerous....Sharon almost took out an eye on one....still has the scar to prove it. Amy had to get stitches for her fall and also has a scar under her eye. Good purchase!

No glass tables here, either.

And the toys? They just keep getting bigger, no reduction in numbers.

That is one massive hound.

I am digging the ottoman as table, we've done it as well, though ours is a girly, swirlie, roseified confection as the girls outnumber the boys.

We use to have a glass kitchen table. I don't know what I was thinking when we bought that! Needless to say, it had to go! The fingerprints and smudges was constant! It drove me crazy!!

Love it!

And it would be much safer for little monkeys!

I don't know how many times my monkies got hurt on our coffee table.

I like the ottoman table idea. Porgie's toy box is an ottoman that has storage inside.

That looks great! I can see splashes of red (in the form of flowers, pillows, vases etc) in that room going really nicely, if you like red. We had a glass top table when our daughter was toddling and it completely freaked me out with worry.

I really like that!! And much safer!

I think you made a very wise decision i mean for nates head and all!

Love the ottoman, dog, and parrot!! I'm so sorry I never got to respond to your message but thanks for the info on Nate's jumperoo! We are definitely buying one for Aiden next week, we just haven't had the time before now. Hopefully I will be posting a pic of a smiley jumping Aiden in the near future. Thanks again!
