Goofjuice
by Karla ° Saturday, January 20, 2007
Weeks of sleep deprivation has finally taken its toll on my ability to string together words from the English language coherently without sounding like a goofjuice grenade exploded in my face.

This morning I yelled at the dog to get his crotch out of my nose.

I am quite certain that this Freudian slip has absolutely nothing to do with any sort of unconscious desire harboring deep in my psyche.

At least Nate doesn’t mind Samson being all up in his kool-aid.

Oh, I absolutely love that picture! So cute!

You are not the only sleep deprived mom who has uttered silliness such as that. :)

Enjoy these days... they go by way too fast.

They are going to be the best of buddies, I can just tell. Kind of like my son with our dog.. last night I was tickling Shawn & wresting around with him and apparently our dog, Neo thought I was hurting Shawn because he was shrieking and laughing and kicking his feet playing around and so Neo decided he was going to protect his buddy and barked and barked at me to leave him alone!!! It was the cutest thing ever.

Our dogs were deeply interested in the baby when we brought them home (daughter - 1994, son-1995) and became very protective of them when visitors came to the house to see the 'babies'. They also sat and took all the abuse that the little ones dealed out, like pulling their snouts, ears, tails - but the dogs enjoyed it as much as we did hearing the little ones squeal with laughter when the dogs tickled the kids with their wet noses.

Found your blog right before Nate was born and I soooo enjoy reliving the "baby days" through you (my daughter is 4 now). Your baby boy is absolutely beautiful and you're a wonderful mommy!! Love the pic of Samson snorfling Nate - my b-in-law and his wife are expecting their baby in 3 weeks and they have a lovable St. Bernard - can't wait to see that!!
