The Purple People Eater - In the Flesh

A husband contemplating what will be said in the eulogy he is preparing to deliver about the long lost sex appeal of my purple breasts and a kidlet deep in thought about how to squeeze out yet another gas bubble.

Is the purple stuff working for you?? I had never heard of using that before, and it is definitly good info to pass on. Hope the boobs are feeling better, and little Nate's mouth, too.

He really is a cutie!!

Oh, chest sleeping is the best. And as for the sex appeal eulogy, trustt me when I say that you have entered an entirely new level of grace and sex appeal. That handsome daddy of your sweet angel isn't going to know what hit him.
Keep enjoying, sweet mama!

My best friend had the same yeasty issue with her little one. They used gentician violet also and I distinctly remember her calling her nipples "Purple Nurples".

Hope the thrush clears up soon. He is so gorgeous Karla.

You have seen nothing! Cole is the gassiest baby, ON EARTH! That baby spends his entire days either burping or farting! I'm completely serious!

You know, that pic of him is totally creepy! It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have the whole red-eye thing going!

Hysterical Karla! I love it!

Well I can't quite remember how I found your blog, but I know it started at my cousin's blog in BC. I am a new doc (2006)and I just wanted to reply to you as I think your words and dedication to your daughter, and son, are beautiful. Conception, pregnancy, and parenthood are all such miracles, 'ordinary miracles'to many, but you capture it all so well and with such poignancy and grace. Nate is fortunate to have parents like you and your husband, and a big sister angel looking out for him.
I hope you find joy amongst all the gas and purple nipples and lips!
